i never wear helmet, most noob can't aim on head so no need for ..

i know, but kevlar is more needed, people shoot more on body then on head ..

but then u cant move as you want.
i prefer a helmet than a kevlar.
with a helmet you can move as you want to avoid bullets,and still alive.
but with a kevlar,eu do 2 jumps and ur stamina is almost at end,then someone comes and kill u.

Indeed that's the main reason for me, it kills my rushin' technic :>

A helmet is the only item whoch is definitely necessary, there shouldnt be any discussion about that.

i normally play like this:

Helmet - Kevlar - Nade

Helmet- Lasersight - Kevlar

Helmet- Kevlar - Medic

Only map im not wearing kevlar is uptown.
I also found out gay 36 semi-automatic is awesome for accuracy.
I use lr and m4 as primary, ak has unhit problems too often -.-'

Ask Nono what happened when he played sans helmet against me... and compared to 60 percent of the guys I see on the Tp city servers/SRN turnpike servers, I am noooob.

Haha he has the same settings beacause they are the ONLY ones anyone should use during a war. Anyone not wearing a helmet AND a kevlar, will get yelled at. [I will hire fish for that, so beware] Nades should only be used if you know how to use them, ask Xes for advice, he has nice nades.

Laser should only be used under 80 ping otherwise its no use, and PLEASE don't go all nub123 during the war and switch to sr8 cause you just feel like it, stick to your stuff, train, and get better

Yeah and also everybody should be on ts, we should pick 2 leaders during war for team A and B and they're the only ones who speak (especially no OMG-shouts, you know who i mean ).
There should be at least one nader and one medic per team.
If we're not playing tp maybe one sniper, otherwise maybe someone wants to stick to silencer or laser.

NADES: Pretty easy if you know that HE's explode after 4 secs and HK nades after 6 secs, count in mind 21,22,23,24,.. (instead of 1,2,3,4..) then you are save not to miss the length of a sec xD

As for helmet, I don't think I've touched that slot in around 6 months lol. In sr8 only, no it's not needed. But throwing knife WILL kill you if your not wearing a helm, and also think of it this way - beretta shot to the helmet: 34% damage. To the head: 100%. And they have 15 shots to get lucky with. Always wear a helmet.

As for Kevlar, it really depends on the map and your tactics. If you play an offensive game (like me, I'm nearly always first to enage the enemy) then it's better without because you can get to them quicker. Also you can help people out from a long range by sprinting over. However, Kevlar gives you an extra chance at the enemy - in most cases it will need another shot to kill compared to without.

As for me though, I play extremely inconstantly so I have no idea what I'll be like on the day; this means I change tactics relatively often & so I may switch between SR8 & autos, depending what I'm like on the day.

@sem, why shouldn't you play with laser according to your ping?

a helmet really isnt so necessary in sr8 server,as a sr8 shot cause 100% dmg.
but i like to hear the " POW(shot) - *PEIM* -body falling- "

As far as the kevlar/no kevlar thingy: if you are a very good jumper like markinho, it (might) pay off not to use it. Otherwise, think that 3 shots (even 2 body one arm/leg) kill you (disregarding headshots), compared to 4 needed when using a kevlar. Against most players in this clan, I will achieve a better score when they don't use a kevlar. I'm willing to test it with anyone who disagrees However, everyone knows that DROPPING a kevlar is worthwhile now and then. Does everyone have a key for dropping?

Me and Semtex recently watched a high-quality CTF match. 90 percent of them used kevlars .... IN CTF!

@Rad laser influence the precision and reduction of the spray of the first few bullets, which gives you perfect hits on the 3/6 first bullets, if your ping is too high, this is no use beacause your crosshair will not be where the player actually is, cause of the time between you shooting and them hitting, thats why it might even be better for a player with 100 ping to have a little bigger spray at first to have a chance of hitting his oponent.

As for kevs, THE ONLY TIME it is usefull not to have one is as an attacker in CTF. or eventually for jumpers like Mark on uptown, I would really recomend everyone else in Team Survivor to wear one!
